SHIFTING FOCUS

With the civil war in Lebanon in 1975, the group shifted its focus to strengthen its already existing foreign operations that’s been established since the early 50s and 60s. They were thus well positioned to take advantage of the massive construction efforts being undertaken by GCC countries in the late 70s. Meanwhile, the home base operation kept on going despite the difficulties during the war years.
